Where the name comes from

Ungnyeo was a bear who became a woman. Dangun was her son. The shop is named for him.

That is the whole of the borrowing. We take the name for what the story is about — waiting, and what waiting turns into — and leave the rest of it alone.

Chosen to be worn, not kept

Pieces are chosen to be worn every day rather than saved for an occasion. That rules out most of what we look at: anything that needs handling carefully, anything that only works with one outfit, anything you would think twice about putting on to go to the shop.

Small, and made to stay small

Nothing here is heavy, precious or fussy. The pieces are light enough to forget you put them on, cheap enough to give away, and made in the colours we would wear ourselves. Each product page carries that piece’s own construction, finish and measurements.
